Monday will be MLK Jr. Day. Are you open? Planning to teach about diversity for the week following? Some great ideas are different colored handprints linked together, or multicultural faces that the kids can decorate. You can simply cut out ovals from cream and different shades of brown paper then supply the kids with items to use as hair, eyes, nose, and mouth.

A fun circle time activity is to graph different hair colors and point that we're still friends despite those superficial differences.
